a few consolidations i've seen are from exploration companies who have over 1b shares ,they've run out of money, no income and are trying to look as if they are doing something.
NSL is an iron ore producer, has plenty of cash and is only consolidating because it's an ASX ruling...the ruling is that if they want to change their operation from a health care co to a mining co they must issue a prospectus and raise funds at a minumum issue price of .20c
