Hi Macros.
Just to clarify. It isn,t that institutions have to feel comfortable with a stocks price before buying and therefore dont know what they are doing,its because they're rules and regulations do not allow them to buy stocks below a certain price which would classify them as "penny stocks".It's a very similar situation with the rules and regulations of the ASX whereby another company I was invested in had to consolidate to join the ASX because the rules state they had to be a certain price or more before they could be considered.There are many many companies trading which institutions and funds would like to invest in but are prevented from doing so because of the restrictive sp that they are at.Obviously if a company can get institutions investing millions in they're stock that wasn't available before consolidation then by definition the price of the stock will increase considerably.
