Bordering on being a gossip column folks but since we all like to gossip, my two bobs worth is this. Companies have inertia, a bit like being handed the helm of the Titanic 200 yds before it hit the iceberg. "It was OK when we handed it over". I was a face to face critic of the previous business model at at least two AGM's but we aren't writing a book (not yet) so no real point in a rehash. I am very grateful that WP took over when he did and I applaud 90% of all that he has done. It was a gigantic task to completely change tack the way he has. (I bought shares when this company sold mainly retractable hypodermic needles.!) It is my completely amateur opinion that a CEO of a multi billion dollar company will have difficulty running with skeleton staff, and at times I have grumbled to him about staff numbers. His answers have always been prompt polite and helpful. Nevertheless, credit where credit is due, he has dragged us out of the doo doo and put us , IMHO on the road to riches by his personal efforts . Very few men would have had that talent and energy. IMHO once again, very well done Mr Paterson.
