Here is a very important question that has not been answered yet on HC:
With the large Phosphate Hill deposit, why does Incitec import from Morocco and Nauru when they could simply ship their own mined RP to the other plants (superphosphate etc) around Australia.
Is it because Phosphate hill is operating at capacity now feeding the DAP plant, hence more mining will be difficult without significant capital investment...or do they not want to increase the rate of RP being mined there because it will shorten the life and mean the DAP plant will need to be moved elsewhere one day when the RP is depleted.
When reading about Incitec, we rarely get a good insight into the quality, depth of RP at Phosphate Hill either...just the jorc number. Could it be a case of they wish they could but can't because it is too deep or difficult?
If you can answer this, then you answer the other question about would they be interested in what Mak has.
