didn't the allied forces drag the nazis and some of the locals around the camps and make them watch and help out with regards to the burying etc of the dead jews and other prisoners?

they show actual film of the event.men woman and children from the local village of Belsen were forceably in some cases walked through the camp and made to lift bodies onto carts
the history of Belsen may be of a surprise,it was built adjacent to an army camp and used as a criminal prison for German nationals and slowly became a concentraation camp manned by the soldiers from next door.the army camp is still in operation,while i was there on several occasions busloads of school children were shown around and their reaction was quite humbling.the biggest reaction however was always from the soldiers in uniform from the camp,some openly wept,one told me he was ashamed of his uniform.
like all concentration camps the German government has to maintain them and keep them as found as part of the surrender process
