    Since the Australa Acts 1988? I believe the year was, the UK parliament cannot amend any law currently applicable in Australia.

    It's gone.

    The privy council is gone.

    There is no link anymore.

    The Sovereign can set aside any law passed by Parliament but it hasn't happened yet to my knowledge in more than 100yrs since Federation.

    Not saying the system is perfect but some of these claims don't stand up to scrutiny.

    The Australian Constitution is the supreme law of the land and cannot be altered or amended without the assent of the People, in fact a majority of people in a majority of the 6 original states.
