So, assuming Kalkaroo is at the 'feasibility' stage, the ISV of its current JORC resources is estimated at $553m on RBC's metrics. The preceding calculations suggest a floor of $212m if you assume Kalkaroo is at the 'exploration' stage.

These estimates fall within the range of various NPV calculations published last year.

'A transition to cleaner energy will take centre stage in metals over the coming years, requiring significantly larger amounts of copper, nickel and other metals.'

"We need to start accelerating projects and discovery of resources if we are to hit any of the carbon (reduction) targets set out" - Wood Mackenzie.

    The 'Perfect Storm' for copper?

There are many other analysts publishing similar views on copper. For anyone who is interested, I have been posting related content on the Copper forum at https://hotcopper.com.au/lme/copper/

At some price point (Cu at US$3/lb ?), Kalkaroo could become an attractive proposition, particularly to developers/ producers with depleting pipelines (SFR?).

With close to 2 million tonne Cu Eq JORC resource, HAV informs us "Kalkaroo is Australia's largest undeveloped open pit copper deposit on Cu Eq basis."

IMO putting these pieces together starts tipping the scales in Kalkaroo's favour.
