Dear ALL, I quote from kingcarmelo
"The crown polymetallic deposit is a world class niobium asset and contains 475,000t Rare Earth Oxides. To put it simply, world class assets are not sold for $20 million which is the value put on the tenement in 2004 and a couple of options. Calculations of the resource have put it well in to the tens of billions."
There was an interesting article on page 18 of the AFR on the 11th of April re Lynas and Alkane discussing a deal whereby Alkane supplies heavy REES to Lynas for processing. Article also mentions that the Crown and Swan deposits are predominantly heavy Rare Earth Elements (REES) whereas Mt Weld is mainly light REES.

The only drawback with Crown and Swan is the time and money required to convert a resource into a producing mine. Which for some reason NC is exceedingly reluctant to commit Lynascorp to.
    Curiouser and Curiouser

    regards
