I too think consolidation would be a decent idea for perception reasons. Too many shares + low share price just gives the impression of a small cap having been diluted like crazy. CCC now gonna be mid-tier, should present itself (in the form of its shares) like one :)
One thing about consolidation I often wonder about which no one has mentioned is significant digits. With 100:1 consolidation, we would get 3 significant digits... It's my feeling that this affects the market dynamics in a subtle way that probably slows down any frantic buying when they happen which makes things a bit less exciting. More people would be happy to change their bid from 0.022 to 0.023 (no other option) than 2.20 to 2.30 even if the market caps were equal..
This is a thought for traders though as in the long run, market cap won't reflect vague things like perception and market dynamics but will settle towards concrete things like balance sheets
