Rpr ,by the time any of this got off the ground ,Conti will be a fully fledged Mid cap operating probably three mines minimum and with a much bigger market cap than current .
Dont worry about the condition that they need the to be able to prove they could raise $100m .The government just wants to be assured that these assets are going to companies with the ability to do something with them ,and not some penny hopeful that doesnt have a chance .
Assets picked up in the next year or two could work out to be great timing for when Conti has lots of cash rolling in .
These things rarely move quickly ,so Conti may not hear if they have won a bid for some time , but why not be in the running ?.
Coal assets will be harder to come by and much more expensive in a couple of years .
There may also be a number of tenements ,that may be distributed among the bidders ,and not necessarily all to one bidder .
Continental will be looking to diversify country risk also ,and that is a sensible strategy ,for any company .
