Continental's net present value of $1 billion is impressive given Continental strangely chose to go down the conventional route - without evaluating bioheap leach which potentially has 1/4 of the cap-Ex spend (I'm guessing) - if we are to get any guideline from Talvivaara?
I looked up Talvivaara's cap-Ex spend .. and it came to $600mill Euro - let's say $700 mill Euro including the Uranium/manganese circuits - which it has just decided or is considering to add on .
Talvivaara is a big operation ..aiming to process and ramp up to 24 MTpa of ore from a total of 36Mtpa of ore plus waste.
So Talvivaara's Cap-Ex spend equates to 1/4 of Continentals cap-Ex spend.
If AEE does prove bioheap leaching viable .. its NP value could possibly be $4 billion .. given a possible $3 billion cap-Ex saving.
This is all conceptual of course and AEE needs to conclusively prove the bioheap leach process (but it's looking promising at this stage).
