simplistically, which is always best for climate change deniers, if it is snowing in many parts of the northern hemisphere in winter then that automatically negates global warming. Right? Wrong.

global warming likely means more hot weather and less cold weather averaged over Earth's land and water surfaces. It doesn't mean no cold weather as this was clearly pointed out in the second post on this thread.
