Hi BB, I can't say I agree with you too often, but you are on the money here. Governments ( of all persuasions ) can't keep using the blunt instrument of interest rates to control inflation. As you said, we are affecting the one third of our population, renters and large mortgage holders just getting into the market, that can least afford it. The remainder of the population who own assets and have investments are unaffected and continue spending.
