Progressing Bowland would have been my preferred course of action. Whilst it is good to see progress at Balcombe, the obvious question is are we now just starting a war on another front and running the risk of encountering the same problems with EIS's and other planning shortcomings that has occured at Bowland?

it appears that there is approval to drill vertical & then branch horizontal which is positive. I sure hope that Cuadrilla have learn't the lessons so far and have all bases covered.

The last thing we need at this point is to have basic stuff ups and be labelled incompetent & arrogant just because the approving authority didn't have a clue. They really need to "walk the walk" with regards to best practice otherwise this will turn into a PR disaster and a further setback.
