Atrum has now been waiting around two years to receive permits from the British Columbia government that will allow it to take bulk samples from Groundhog, but Mr Bell said he believed the process was in its final stages.
“Getting past the EGM allows us to continue to focus on the important work we’re doing to pursue development of the Groundhog coalfield,” he said.
The company is in discussions with two parties over a potential joint venture at its Panorama exploration project, while it had received “very strong interest” from a number of third parties interested in investing in Groundhog.
