I was watching CHB trade for a very long time back in May. I had held 150 shares that had been converted from Coca Cola 'B' years ago and was looking at selling them.

There would be a queue of buyers 43.50, 43.51, 43.52, 43.53 which would become 43.51, 43.52, 43.53, 43.54 and so on as the minutes passed and each tried to outbid each other. The sell price was usually between 46.00 and 48.00. As soon as a part-sale went through e.g. a lot of 250 out of an ask of 400 @ 23.54 the 250 would immediately go back on at 47.00 and sell a short time later. I agree it is very strange. Especially, as the buyer at 47.00 could have come in a lot lower because there was nothing between the asking price of circa 43.50 and the resultant 47.00.

I sold my parcel at 46.50, bought another parcel a short time later for 43.50 and sold them 7 minutes later for 47.00. I could never do it again as queue jumping became impossible.

I see that it is happening again with the prices circa 24.00 and 29.00 both prior to and after the trading halt.
