Clearly the share price has trended downwards for some time now. But this is a great buying opportunity.
We all know about the whisky under maturation growing and increasing in value as an inventory. The new CEO starts soon and he is a very accomplished operator with the right experience in export markets.
But one thing that seems overlooked is the seemingly continuous stream of awards coming through. 2022 saw many gold medals and category winners across numerous domestic and international competitions.
In the last week or so at the Australian Whisky Awards Lark achieved the following:
Distillery of the Year Single Malt of the year - Dark Lark Master Distiller of the Year - Chris Thomson Best Whisky Venue Personality of the Year - Bill Lark
Say what you will but this mountain of awards sells whisky. It's like when a film wins best picture Oscar, and the actors win best actors and the Director wins best director and the writers and producers win etc etc... you're going to see that movie.
The price point is certainly premium but it's hard to suggest it's not warranted!
This share price is a steal.
