Actually the Australian Whisky Awards is a popularity contest decided by votes from the general public. There are no expert judges or blind tastings involved.
This is not to disparage the awards or Lark, as I'm a fan of the distillery and they are deserved winners. Just think it's important that people understand the difference. Cheers
