Major contract awarded
The Forrestfield-Airport Link project has achieved a major milestone – awarding the design, construction and maintenance contract to Salini Impregilo - NRW Joint Venture (SINRW).
Negotiations between the Public Transport Authority and SINRW began in February, with the contract awarded today, April 28th 2016.
The $1.176 billion contract will see SINRW build 8km of rail tunnels and three stations connecting Perth to the Eastern foothills, as well as maintaining the infrastructure for a ten year period, once the project is complete in 2020.
