Now that SNC-Lavalin's share is back on a historic high and its operating margins are approaching its 7% target, the company will soon be ripe to pull the trigger on another major acquisition, believes Maxim Sychev , Of National Bank Financial.
In the past, SNC-Lavalin argued that it had the resources to complete a $ 1.5 billion to $ 4 billion deal, the analyst said. Its shareholders are more comfortable with the bottom of this range.
"As long as we deploy $ 4 billion of our shareholders' capital, the company should reduce its risk profile and aim for the long term by targeting engineering consulting firms and specialized transportation and water management, Advises Mr. Sychev.
