But why the comment that COP were more under the gun and that both FAR and WPL were under no pressure.
Sounds like COP will have some explaining to do, maybe they will be forced to open the box, clear away all the maggots and allow everyone a clear view of what's hidden inside. The mind boggles at that prospect, especially if there something that looks like tax evasion or something with an equally bad smell hidden inside, I wonder how Senegal will react with their approval still pending under those circumstances. Maybe a beefed up out of court settlement would be COPs only salvation but anything could still play out, including the possibility of WPL doing the big walk.
Big stakes are being played for here and everyone will be closely monitoring the outcome, especially with CNOOC and TOTAL sitting at the table, drooling and getting more hungry as time goes on. The longer this plays out the bigger the pot gets boosted by POO starting to smell like roses.
At the presentation got the vibe that FAR were confident not just their lawyers.
