Hi Jmeery ... the thing that urks is that 'Deal4free' still operates commission free in the UK and you can trade ASX200 shares. Also you can open an account as an International client.
I trade ETO's and on a $5k (50k x say $0.10) pozzie will pay around $45.00/trade brokerage (Avcol) whereas with CMC here I would have to pay on a comparable position $100 commission which is an extra $110 both ways or 122% more.
I get the same or better leverage with ETO's which means the profitability is the same but the downside for ETO's is much better due to Option Pric Modeling.
CMC must be laughing all the way to the bank here charging commissions as they know it is still Deal4free in the UK.
Nevertheless, I attend trading seminars of all descriptions out of interest sake and Adelaide where I am CMC is having one on 09/12/04. I completed the registration form and submitted it twice as it failed to complete ... gave up and then sent an email (mailto from CMC website) from which I have yet to hear anything ... that was three days ago.
Hmmm ... not what you would call a good start if I were interested in trading with CMC !!!
