Local residents said that the forces of the "elite Shaban" in the axis of Ezzan supported by the UAE and its pro-control Saturday night, the headquarters of the second brigade infantry, and the port of Alnshima in the Directorate of Rechum in the south-east of the country.
They told Al-Masdar Online that the elite deployed in the port and the headquarters of the brigade, after the withdrawal of the forces they controlled, local military forces and tribesmen who controlled the two sites by virtue of their belonging to the area.
The control of former forces was coordinated with the authorities in the province, before withdrawing with the arrival of the elite forces with their armored vehicles.
An official source in the province said that the control of the forces loyal to the UAE on the port of Alnchima at this time, comes to disrupt the production of oil from the oil fields in Shabwa, and thwart the government's attempt to control the ports.
He added that the government had succeeded in restarting some oil fields, restarting oil production, pumping about 500,000 barrels to Al-Nashima port and selling the first steamship from Shabwa oil.
He pointed out that the elite control of the port comes without coordination with the government authorities.
The UAE forces control the LNG project in Balhaf, and have prevented re-export of gas to date, turning the facility into a camp for its forces and operations.
