Given you are only investing 15k in lets say a 1.5M portfolio its almost as if you don't care. With a relatively small amount, maybe subconsciously you are happy to lose it, tell yourself you tried speculative and it didn't work, confirming in your mind what you already think... That the strategy with the other 99% of your portfolio is the right one. If this is the case, you won't grow and you wohld miss opportunities.
I would push myself to research a few high risk / high reward stocks and push yourself to develop new stratergies.
You won't learn if you don't push yourself.
