Four years ago, on June 30, 2020, there was the merger of TPM and VAH to create TPG, with TUA being spun off from TPM.
I had my 1000 shares in TPM, being invested in following the great entrepeneur David Teoh as he built an empire. He gambled everything he had built over the years on a successful marriage with the disaster prone VAH.
At the time I recorded my new TPG shares as valued at $8.93 on commencement day. At the same time I recorded my 500 TUA shares that I was granted as being valued at $0.6799.
Fast forward to today, the lesson in following the entrepeneur and not the enterprise, TPG is worth $4.49 and TUA is worth $4.41. Anyone taking bets on which day will see TUA overtake the TPG share price?
