I called Bevan to point out the error in their announcement (500,0000 instead of 500,000 shares) in case they hadn't spotted it. He was his usual grumpy self unlike Frank who is always exceedingly patient and courteous. Perhaps he could make sure Bevan doesn't answer the phone! Might even be worth employing a secretary.
Anyway, I asked Bevan what was happening and he replied "lots". I said "any chance of letting shareholders know?" He replied that the calculations had to be done properly. I said it has been nearly a year since they first mooted that there are five million ounces. He said they have the five million.
I asked whether he thought we should sell our shares and he bellowed "yes what a great idea, sell at the bottom of the market!" I might say I have no intention of selling but thought it might be worth gauging his reaction! It was strong.
He said the entire market is waiting. Well that's true. Taking a look at some of the share prices especially in the gold sector, one can see very many are also at absurd and even lower prices than CRK.
Lucky we have Frank at the helm. During troubled times one needs a top notch businessman running the show.
In the meantime we will all need to be patient as we have been all year.
If the share price drops again I'll buy another swag of them.
