Hey this is not a weekend protest on your days off, it's a week long event so can only be attended by people with nothing else to do. So not many working people will be taking part.
And it's not a spontaneous display either as another poster said. It's being organized by extreme right wing groups like the League of Rights (have a look at their website) and certain talk back radio hosts who express very right wing views although who knows what they really think as they are primarily entertainers playing to a particular audience.
The Coalition who oppose anything the government does would also be lending some moral support. It will be interesting to watch but IMO a complete waste of time as it will not change anything and if any of the protestors are ill behaved might even backfire.
