The interesting thing is the Russians in the convoy appear to lack the ability to chase down the special forces that are raiding the column
This really is similar to the WINTER WAR between Finland and Soviet Union. Eventually the Soviets won as the Russians should here but the cost was huge in manpower lost.
I suspect that Russias Special Forces have the ability to pursue the raiders of the lost column but they seem to have been largely wasted to date . Parachute dropping and inserting on to hard defended positions might look good in the movies but is not really wise and as far as can be seen has occurred on a number of occasions such as the attempt to assasinate Zelinsky probably by this lot
