Are there any intentions to become involved with VDL? I thought that boat had sailed, and TFL got their noses out of joint when they missed out on it.

The BOD sure does act in a sneaky manner. Look at their senior appointments - most are family members or friends of the Bennetts, Woolleys and Nichols'. Wonder how many were actually interviewed through a competitive process to find the 'best' person???.

Then there was a lot of angst leading up to the recent AGM and talk of a spill motion or a second strike on the remuneration report for the underperforming execs. All of a sudden the Betta Milk acquisition was announced just before the AGM and it bandaged over the concerns about company performance. The rumour mill around town reckons this was planned well in advance to defray a revolt at the AGM. Hard to know which rumours are true and which are not, but its an interesting theory.
