cooper basin csg asset

I am trying to come to terms with the significance of Strike's Cooper Basin CSG exploration. I decided to compare Blue Energy's Bowen Basin CSG assets with Strike's Cooper Basin exploration. But it is not that easy. When Strike reported 4 to 7 cubic meters/tonne I freaked out when I read "The core obtained from the coals was also assessed for gas content and the P seam returned a world class 23m3/tonne (raw) gas content with average composition of 95% Methane.Gas content from other coal intersections in the wells was also relatively high, ranging from 12 ? 20m3/tonne (raw). In addition, carbonaceous shales were sampled and yielded up to 10m3/tone (raw) in some intervals". (http://www.blueenergy.com.au/01_cms/details.asp?ID=18). I wondered what depth that was and all I could find was "considerable depth". But it is not that easy : "CSG was mainly sought within the Permian coal seams of the Bowen and Sydney Basins. However, since the early 2000s, CSG exploration also targeted the relatively shallow depths of the lower rank coal seams of the Jurassic age Surat and Clarence-Moreton Basins in Queensland. Although these seams have less gas content than high rank Permian age coal these lower rank coals at shallow depths (100 to 600m) are more permeable and CSG can be more easily desorbed (or extracted), resulting in higher recovery factors.(http://www.australianminesatlas.gov.au/education/fact_sheets/coal_seam_gas.jsp) I'm wondering if any others have come to conclusions about the "Pros" and "cons" of CSG reserves? Of course I am aware depth and thickness of the seam is extremely important as well as available infrastructure. (The Blue Energy presentation is also worth a look http://www.blueenergy.com.au/_dbase_upl/CSG%20and%20CMM%20Conference%20Presentation.pdf)
