Thanks for that Boccione. And, isn't that our "problem"? See how they talk about Senex being the only mid-cap company as a T/O opportunity.
ICN, by market cap at around $120 mill, is nowhere to be seen when the big boys are considering "positions". They all assume that a larger market cap signifies a more successful company with better prospects.
Did you see what Senex did with their attempt to get gas out of their shale leases in the C.B.? The results were so pathetic that they walked away from them.

Now, that's the point, being "in the Cooper Basin" is only the carrot and what happened in the infamous Nickel Boom days might just be happening again. Nearology, addresses drove share prices through the roof, but, as we discovered, about 95% of those small, mid cap, companies that bought land "with the right address" lost everything and their shareholders cash with them.
I posted my views the other days and stick with them. Unless your C.B. lease is in the Nappamerri Trough it will be marginally profitable at best and more than likely, totally un-economical, at worst.

Now, back to your first line - but no mention of Icon!! THAT is what Dan Denning highlighted in his story the other day.
Everyone is looking at the NAMES as they always do. It is history repeating itself!!

BUT, when they finally seeWHOare actually delivering the results, that's when they scramble on board and as Dan Denning so rightly said, history has proven that those that sawthose names before the "market" and the "expert analysts", are the ones that make the much bigger profits.

Everyone on this forum must, by now, knowthe name of one company, that is still "unknown", a VERY small-cap, specky, that is so very close to proving commercial rates of shale gas from the C.B.from a property that "can supply gas for the next 100 years" and who is the major owner, with 40% of that property, with the second largest O&G company in the U.S. putting in $349 million to buy into that same area, and who will move to the ASX300 from 18 March 2013!!
And that company is ICON ENERGY!! S.P. 21.5, Market Cap $120 million, Issued Shares just 533 million and with a 20 year GSA to China at the Tapis oil price.
Dan Denning eat your heart out. Hopefully, Icon is one of those companies that you recommended, but, those of us who know this company can write a much better REAL story and name the names.

It will be all over the news in the fullness of time. Patience.
