There is a pattern.

US comes, US sees (what it wants, eg. oil, gas). US meddles. Their meddling tool-box is quite varied. But the overall strategy is always the same.
Soft meddling, turns into hard meddling.
Then people die.
Freedom and Democracy.... For some, but not the majority.
