Just had a quickflik thro' the slides from ConocoPhillips about their plans for 2016, its all about budget cuts. 2016 budget is USD7.7bil. Non-core Asset sales worth US2.3bil ongoing (includes a stake in Canadian oil sands).
Slide 14 & 21 shows the areas of focus & the budget allocated to these units. (Orange color indicates Optimisation, ie value based approach to Ops etc and Senegal falls under this category).
Bar graph on slide-21 shows US800mil budget scheduled for GoM, Nova Scotia & Senegal. This roughly equates to net US180mil for Senegal out of US800mil by my estimates. Talks abt 6 wells.
Haven't read the transcript yet as the Q&A focuses more on balance sheet adjustment etc.
