Strange that the conservative party does not believe in market forces any more in AU.

Having a Tax NEUTRAL carbon price ( price on carbon, neutral for tax by compensating low paid) is the proven way
to harness the market , and the cheapest way to transition to a decarbonised economy .

We should be following what Britain is doing , with the right wing of government believing in climate change, and using the
market to get the cheapest transition.

Instead in AU, the easiest way to made money is RENT seeking. ie lobbying the Government.
Second easiest way to make money is investing in property for the tax discounts.

Third easiest way, making 50% on SPP here, sorry have to keep my shares now, for the capital gains discount.
Still a believer in the market.
Whats worse than having to paid tax, is not having to pay tax.

If I was the greens or labour, I would be talking about a Tax Neutral carbon price ( not a carbon tax).
I would never vote greens, because they had the chance to get a carbon price thru back in the day, but
voted against it. Dumb and dumber.
