COP28 good news for New Hope Group, page-15

Well the backslapping may have finished as delegates go home from the Cop28 conference so now it will be interesting to see how it plays out. IMO Countries like Aust have underestimated just how much this transition will cost, not only will there be immeasurable infrastructure costs, compensation payouts and inducements but the contribution to the Worldwide slush fund to assist poorer Countries thru the transition which it has been claimed to cost Trillions is going to have a huge impact on budgets around the World. These costs will undoubtedly flow on down the line to taxpayers. If the World is not careful it could create an energy system that might not cut the mustard whilst at the same time disrupt the present energy system enough to scare investors elsewhere
