Costello sold half of Australia's gold reserves at rock bottom prices too before losing a billion on currency trading. No wonder he got so few job offers from the private sector and was left sitting on the back bench.
Anyway yes I do think there is an attempt at some sort of world government scam on the cards at Copenhagen but I don't think it will come off. From various news reports I have seen nothing much at all is going to happen at Copenhagen. IMO there will be lots of statements about the need to take firm action but no targets will be set and any real action will be postponed indefinitely.
