There won't be any Lead in the electric car batteries - Try Lithium-Ion (and that is not Iron...)
My Cousins in Armidale have a Suzuki Mighty Boy converted to electric - It will drag off any V-6 at the lights, and goes just as fast in reverse - which can be a bit scary.
They are chasing $150k to bring out a Li-ion prototype....looks like being a while yet before the markets will let me help them.
