"In 2010, the world copper price is forecast to increase by 24 per cent to average $5488 a tonne,"
Copper outlook
Abare Economics
Now what would that do to the value of Koongie Park and consequently AAR share price?
I remain of the opinion that AAR will change focus considerably toward copper, with gold being the cash flow catalyst to bring this online.
It makes perfectly good sense to do so as Zn would become economical to mine (if not hugely profitable) and copper would be a company maker for AAR.
Copper price increases forecast through 2012
"Although short-term copper prices remain somewhat erratic, GFMS Metals Consulting now expects higher average annual prices for cathode each year out to 2012. GFM is forecasting copper's world cash price at $1.92/lb this year, down slightly from the year-to-date average of $2.02. However, the London-based consultancy also sees the London Metal Exchange (LME) spot average at $2.13 in 2010, $2.45 in 2011 and $2.95 in 2012"
