Re copper :-American house builds phased out copper piping for plastic some time ago, just like Australia.

New uses of copper:
Furthermore, if the electric car gets up, each one will need about 300lb for electric motors .
Lets see: 20,000,000 cars/yr * 300lbs = a lot of copper !!

Dont forget zinc either, if this zinc battery pack becomes reality.
