Mr David Rynne, chief economist of the Queensland Resources Council addressed the eighth Mining the Isa conference and said that copper demand throughout the next twenty years would increase with the demand from the Chinese market set to continue to drive resources globally.
Copper supply as recorded on the London Metals Exchange has been declining over a period and now stands at 533,325 tonnes.
