That said, I don't believe these articles about copper strengthening (significantly) from an already tremendous high point. We're near all time highs, strength in copper market moving forward might only be sufficient to maintain these inflated levels. Just not sure prices can be sustained so much above the cost of production.
Previously uneconomic mines will come online and shore up the supply side. 10 years ago copper was around $1, it's crazy not to expect a huge number of sites exist that would now be economic at $4.
