If UCL wanted to really dress up the announcement, thats what they could have titled it.
Noticed that results from hole 8416 released shows that copper grades were quite outstanding.
19.45% from 199m to 201m, 5.03% from 188m to 197m, 82m at 2.28% and pretty good thickness of copper grades through most parts of the hole.
Im no expert in copper but I have just looked up BHPs June 05 quarterly report to look at the average copper grades extracted at Olympic Dam.
Average grades of copper mined for the month of June 05 was 2.15%. Olympic Dam is a world class mine, one of the biggest copper mines in the world.
Of course at this stage, we dont know the size of the copper resource at Mehdiabad but today has been a positive start nevertheless.
THe story just keeps getting better and better.
Another great day beckons tomorrow
Cheers
