China's copper consumption jumped 38 per cent last year and the country is accounting for one-third of total global demand.Asian demand is expected to exceed 11 million tonnes this year.
International Copper Study Group still expects a global supply deficit this year of 400,000 tonnes.Exchange price of copper could reach $US11,000 a tonne this year and even that value could spike above these levels.
