Well well well guys I'm up before the birds again...
Copper is of to new 5 weeks highs so says kitco,woooo hoooo but clearly looking at the chart I have in font of me it looks like to me it is at a 8 and half month high... going over 2.40... It was only at these levels late Sept, Oct, last year. well good news all the same, Reason being because the US is saying it has been brought about because of good housing dater.
Do these people even know what they talking about, I'm sure I read a week or to back copper was heading quite a bit lower that it could not be sustained even at the $2.00 we were then, like I've said many times they seem to change there mind with the news of the day at any given time. woooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooo I'll take the rise though better than a kick in the pants the other way. This calls for extra drinks today and tomorrow :-)
NEW YORK/LONDON, July 17 (Reuters) - Copper prices climbed to a five-week high on Friday, after an unexpected jump in U.S. home construction data in June boosted hopes for economic recovery.
Copper for September delivery HGU9 on the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX division gained 3.35 cents to close at $2.4230 a lb, after dealing between $2.3670 and $2.4390 -- a new high dating back to June 12.
