Agreed!
The sanctions on Russia by the West have been a massive own goal. It appears that the West is more affected by them than Russia is.
I have friends in Russia and they tell me that apart from not having Netflix, because Russians have no practical way to pay for it, life has gone on for them.
Exporters in Russia would be doing it real tough at the moment. Trade hasn't been able to be completely rerouted via other countries not party to the sanctions (like India and China).
The sanctions against Russia have been the worst geopolitical move strategically by the Western world. If they ever get lifted, it will set relations back a generation.
