I'm not making this post to debate politics, but if the LNG is anything to go by, poorly applied sanctions benefit Russia and do not punish them.

I tried to make my post as factual as possible and take any emotion out of it.

You won't see copper prices accelerate faster for the sanction reason, but you'll see a lot of market inconsistencies arise as a result.

Amongst many other things. It's just a perfect storm on both the supply and demand side.
