American West Metals Storm Copper Project has a copper resource containing 0.45 Billion lbs of copper. (Earlier Exploration Phase)
Anglo American Global Copper Operations (A Mature, multiple large scale porphyry Cu miner in Chile & Peru) have a copper resource containing 97.3 Billion lbs (inferred) + 108 billion lbs (reserves) of copper metal. An incredible 456x Storm's coppers maiden resource estimate. Probably an unfair comparison but goes to show the sheer scale of these mega copper operations.
Anglo American copper production was 826 kt per year in 2023.
Storms 205 kt of copper resources would be enough to feed Anglo American production profile for 91 days.
Message is, keep on exploring at Storm!!! AW1 is off to a good start with its high-grade copper ore, plans for shallow open pit mining and innovative ore upgrading technology. We have a long way to go!!!!!
