Everyone on here should be aware this is a supply deficit situation that isn't going to be fixed for a long, long time.
Copper demand has historically increased 3-5% pa, add falling grades into the mix of 3%+, EV's and general electrification of the planet you would see that's there's certainly plenty of demand. Whether it's one Escondida mine each year that's required to meet the demand or substantially less what we do know is that there's nothing on the horizon of any significance that's going to add to supply before 2030.
In general copper mines take 17 to 21 years to get up and running and the last decent find was a decade ago so where's the supply coming from?
Copper is the bellweather of economic health and consensus for the incentive price for copper to drive investment is ~US$6.00lb
Met, do not take my comments as even being remotely bullish on Storm, I think Storm is nothing more than a fantasy
