Copper will be key to the green revolution.
Note: Last week, BMO analyst Colin Hamilton suggests tailings may solve the supply problem.
"With governments and miners under pressure to remediate old tailings dams, and technology advancing rapidly for residual metal recovery, we would not be surprised to see incremental supply result. This ticks a lot of boxes around risk, social licence to operate and ESG more widely, and at elevated copper prices can also yield positive economics. We see this as a significant opportunity for sustainable investment over the coming decade," he said.
