Citadel Resource Group Limited - ASX Release 23 May 2008
LODE 4 COPPER MINERALISATION EXTENDED 100 METRES ABOVE THE EXISTING MINERAL RESOURCE ENVELOPE
    Drillhole BDH-4011 intersects 223m at 1.1%Cu, 0.3 g/t Au from 153m,
    incl 48m at 2.3% Cu, 0.7 g/t Au from 153m to 201m downhole
    Highlights:
    • BDH4011 returned 223m at 1.1% Cu, 0.3 g/t Au from 153m to 376m downhole, including 48m at 2.3% Cu, 0.7 g/t Au, 20.1 g/t Ag from 153m to 201m.
    • This drillhole intersected high grade copper mineralization 150m below surface which is 100m above the existing Lode 4 resource envelope.
    • BDH 4013 (assays pending) was drilled for metallurgical testwork. It intersected sulphide mineralization over an interval of +300m from 120m to 430m down hole.
    • Logging indicates BDH 4013 also intersected high grade copper mineralization from approximately120m downhole, more than 100m above the current resource boundary, consistent with the results from BDH4011.
    • Lode 4 Resource drilling program modified to further test and extend this higher level mineralization.
Citadel Resource Group Limited (ASX: CGG – “Citadel”) is pleased to announce that it continues to receive excellent near surface copper assays from the Lode 4 drilling program at its 50%-owned Jabal Sayid Copper Project in Saudi Arabia.
BDH 4011 was drilled to infill the current inferred resource in Lode 4 at Jabal Sayid. It hit mineralisation 100m higher than expected. It intersected 223m at 1.1% Cu, 0.27g/t Au, 7.4g/t Ag from 153 to 376m downhole, including 48m at 2.3% Cu, 0.70g/t Au, 20.1g/t Ag. Refer to Table 1 below for complete information.
Drillhole BDH4013 was drilled for to provide samples for metallurgical testwork. Assays are pending, however core logging has been completed. The hole was expected to encounter the top of Lode 4 at approximately 250m downhole however it intersected a plus 300m mineralized interval beginning at 120m downhole.
The results are significant in that both holes have intersected high grade copper mineralization 100 metres higher than modelled for the recent resource estimate (ASX announcement 21 February, 2008). The Lode 4 copper mineralisation extends at least to within 120m of the surface, compared with previous interpretations which had shown mineralisation to start at 250m below surface, and remains open up plunge at Lode 4.
Commenting on these latest results Ines Scotland, CEO said:
“We’ve previously announced that Jabal Sayid is open at depth and along strike, we didn’t realize it’s also open towards surface. This is a fantastic copper project and it just keeps getting better.
Drillhole 4011 has intersected plus 2% copper mineralization 100m above the current resource boundary and this has been affirmed by BDH4013 which was drilled for metallurgical samples.
In light of the results we have modified the Lode 4 resource drilling program adding an additional 5 or 6 holes to drill out the upper parts of Lode 4 as we expect that this will add significant tonnage to the resource.
Jabal Sayid has the Grade and Tonnes and Citadel has a team focused on execution.”
